Complete our Questionnaire and you could win $500 of account credit!

February 29th, 2008 by Dan

At AdToll we are very focused on improving our platform and in the almost 8 months we have been in operation we have done just that!

Now we look to you, our customers, for feedback to help us take AdToll to new heights.

We have set up a questionnaire available at http://www.adtoll.com/questionnaire.php that you can complete and submit to us - of which we would be very much appreciative.

The questionnaire will be available until the end of March and at that time we will select one customer who will win $500 of free account credit!

We realise you are busy but if you could take 5 minutes of your day to do this it would go a long way into helping us on our journey of continual improvement.

AdToll Integration Into PHPBB Forums

February 26th, 2008 by Dan

PHPBB Forum IntegrationWe have a lot of Publishers who use forum software and in particular the very popular PHPBB forum, which is free.

Software like PHPBB is designed in a way so as to extrapolate functional code from the design, known as “templating”. This allows forum owners to easily modify the look and feel of their forum and even use pre-built themes that they can plug in and have running almost instantly.

Occasionally we get an e-mail from a Publisher who is having issues plugging in our ad code; usually reporting an error something like:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /yoursite/includes/template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 182

This is happening due to the “templating” system that PHPBB uses, which doesn’t like the use of the curly brackets in the TPL (template) file.

Feedburner Subscriber Count for Blogs

February 21st, 2008 by Dan

FeedburnerAdvertisers want the most information possible to help them make decisions when it comes to where they want to advertise. We provide as much as possible through collecting vital statistics on ad group performance and more.

One particular statistic an Advertiser would be interested in is the number of RSS subscribers a particular blog has. This helps prove the popularity and authority of a blog and goes a long way into assisting decision making. As of today the Feedburner Subscriber Count is now available for sites that use Feedburner.

Now, in the Site Directory you will see the Subscriber Count as part of a site’s details:

Site Directory

You will also see the Feedburner chicklet in the Rate Card of the site to give you an up to date figure.

For Publishers we also provide this information in your “My Sites” area:

Publisher My Sites Area

If you are a Publisher and you do not see your FeedBurner Subscriber Count in your account area or on your Rate Card then please get in contact with us and we can make it happen for you.

Before you do please make sure you enable FeedCount and the Awareness API from within the Publicize section of your Feedburner dashboard.
